{"id":68824,"date":"2020-04-16T19:18:46","date_gmt":"2020-04-17T00:18:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elinformanteperu.com\/?p=68824"},"modified":"2020-04-16T19:18:46","modified_gmt":"2020-04-17T00:18:46","slug":"muere-el-saxofonista-lee-konitz-leyenda-del-jazz-y-colaborador-de-miles-davis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elinformanteperu.com\/index.php\/2020\/04\/16\/muere-el-saxofonista-lee-konitz-leyenda-del-jazz-y-colaborador-de-miles-davis\/","title":{"rendered":"Muere el saxofonista Lee Konitz, leyenda del jazz y colaborador de Miles Davis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">El saxofonista estadounidense Lee Konitz, leyenda del jazz y \u00faltimo miembro superviviente del equipo que grab\u00f3 \u00abBirth of the Cool\u00bb (1957) de Miles Davis falleci\u00f3 por causa del COVID-19.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Lima, 16 Abril 2020, (ANDINA).-<\/strong> El saxofonista estadounidense Lee Konitz, leyenda del jazz y \u00faltimo miembro superviviente del equipo que grab\u00f3 \u00abBirth of the Cool\u00bb (1957) de Miles Davis, ha fallecido a los 92 a\u00f1os a causa de una neumon\u00eda provocada por COVID-19.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">La muerte este mi\u00e9rcoles del artista, quien estaba siendo tratado en el hospital Lenox Hill de Nueva York, la confirm\u00f3 su hijo Josh a la emisora p\u00fablica de EE.UU., la NPR.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Conocido especialmente por sus aptitudes para la improvisaci\u00f3n, Konitz (Chicago, 1927) se inici\u00f3 musicalmente al piano siendo un adolescente y desarroll\u00f3 una carrera de m\u00e1s de 70 a\u00f1os en la que public\u00f3 m\u00e1s de un centenar de \u00e1lbumes a su nombre, hasta Prisma (2018), y en la que colabor\u00f3 en la grabaci\u00f3n de otra infinidad de discos con m\u00fasicos como Chick Corea, Bill Evans o Charles Mingus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Bajo esa faceta, fue uno de los nueve miembros de la banda que acompa\u00f1\u00f3 a Miles Davis entre 1949 y 1950, cuyo trabajo desemboc\u00f3 en el citado y emblem\u00e1tico Birth of the Cool.
